You're not going to make a ridiculously powerful projectile spell with spell properties 0/1/4.

When crafting you really want to pay attention to the spell properties (the numbers on the shape example 3/2/1) clearly you want the numbers to reflect the spell you're crafting that's best suited for your play style. There are pleny of other stats that are introduced into the game later, but they're really easy to decipher (casting speed, charging speed, critical hit chance, critical hit damage) Essentially how you craft your spells should really be toward your style of play. Mastery is a bit tricky, for Fire and Ice it increases the damage bonus (Burn bonus damage for fire and shatter bonus damage for ice) as for delerium and corruption it increases the damage dealt while beserk (delerium) and the number of bugs that survive when the host dies (corruption). Control increases the duration of DOTs (damage over time) effects of your offensive and some debuffing spells whilst also increasing the radius of Delerium. Next a quick explanation (from what I've gathered) on the stats and how they work.ĭestruction increases damage to your offensive spells (ie, Fire, Ice) while also increasing health and regen delay to your defensive. We'll start with a quick explanation of the iventory, Sigils are essentially schools of magic (ie Fire, Ice, Defensive, Corruption, Delerium) Shapes are what determine the type of spell it is (ie, projectile, barrier, area of effect) and augments are what effects the spell gives (Destruction, Control, Mastery.) So, I've been playing for about 2 days now (3 maybe? I've lost track) and basically I like the game a lot it's very very very speshull (das right) and I figured I'd create a post for those that want some advice on crafting spells and how to (in my style of play) go about crafting your spells.
